Anne de Kiev

Anne de Kiev est la personnalité historique importante qui était la première à instaurer des relations historiques entre l’Ukraine et la France.

Tous les desserts fabriqués par les finalistes ont été thématiques et consacrés aux périodes de la Rus’ de Kiev et de la France des XIe et XIIe siècles.

MISSION

Populariser le métier de Pâtissier qui déjà est très prestigieux dans nombre de pays européens. Nous nous efforçons chaque jour de découvrir encore plus de pâtissiers professionnels en Ukraine, afin qu’ils puissent perpétuer de suivre l’exemple de leur père.

Parallèlement au Championnat sur la même scène les vedettes de la pêtisserie ont présenté leurs desserts d’auteurs.

For several years International Confectionery Art Competition has become an important event in pastry and confectionery world. Since its creation in 2008 this 4 day long competition organized by DGF has discovered new confectioners who show their talent. Taking part in International Confectionery Art Competition is prestigious not only for pastry chefs, but also for the countries of all over the world. Every year the amount of participating countries increases.

Since 2014 Ukraine was represented at International Confectionery Art Competition by the pastry chefs selected by DGF ICC. DGF ICC sponsored the preparation phase of their staying in France. All these participants are the best pastry chefs and have the reputation of Pastry Masters in our country. In 2018 DGF ICC registered the first Ukrainian National Confectionery Championship, according to all the international standards.

    "On a personal level after the Championship, I totally changed my attitude towards me. As I am a member of an amateur show ‘’Master Chef’’, I always felt that professionals look at me reproachfully. I really wanted to belong to the professional pastry world. And when I was noted, remembered, distinguished at the International Championship, the wings immediately grew, and I’ve got some confidence that I should be accepted in Ukraine too. Having participated in the Championship I proved to myself that I am a professional. I also have new acquaintances and now I have opportunities to enter the kitchens when I have never been before."

    "It was very interesting for me to test myself in competition with the best pastry chefs in the world. The preparation phase to the Championship lasted about six months. Some months were devoted to the creation of the conception and development of recipes. Then later the practice started. It was very important to distribute properly the duties at International Confectionery Art Competition – it is perhaps the sense of such training. Techniques that have been practised over the years can hardly be quickly and efficiently master “for the competition."

    "The International Confectionery Art Competition first of all is a challenge for myself. Understanding that a billion of eyes will look at me. It is very hard to realize that the whole Ukrainian people are behind our team, behind me. That’s why you have no right to fail. I can compare it to music. If a person is very keen on music, he plays and he creates his own band, then he presents his voice and style to master. He has an explosion of emotions and crazy adrenaline. Here there is some internal recognition that, yes, they did hear me. It's worth it. This is a huge leap that you have to do for yourself. "
